A digital badge is easy to make. Issuing thousands of them, with consent captured correctly, identities verified, evidence attached, and every credential holding up to scrutiny years later, is not.
That's the part that matters, and the part almost everyone underestimates. A credential is only worth something if it can be trusted, and trust is an operational problem: the right permissions, the right data handling, verification that works without you in the loop, and recognition that reaches the right people.
